One of the best things I ever got was a zucchini noodle maker. My mom sent me the one below:

This has two spiralizer options for a thicker or thinner zoodle.

All you do is place the zucchini in the spiralizer (don't chop the end off that you are holding on to, because you will eventually put the "cap" on - which has spikes that go into the stem of the zucchini, securing the cone-shaped cap that you can hold on to, protecting your fingers from the sharp blades.

And you will definitely want to use the cap. I know from experience. Those blades are super sharp!
