For the longest time, after moving to Croatia, I craved maple-flavored breakfast sausage.
I've tried many different kinds. Some were okay, others were just not the same at all. And then I stumbled on "the one".
Problem is, it was definitely not keto-friendly.
But, an adjustment here, a change there....and ouala - I now have perfected the recipe and I always have breakfast sausage patties on hand.

Homemade Keto Maple Breakfast Sausage
1 tsp sage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp marjoram
3-4 drops of stevia
a few drops of maple extract
Mix well with your hands. Don't be afraid, my friends. Just get your hands in there and kneed that bad boy.
Afterward, form balls and flatten with the palm of your hand between two sheets of waxed paper.
Stack the Keto Maple Breakfast Sausage patties between squares of wax paper and freeze. If you use wax paper, it's easy to break off one patty, defrost, and fry up to serve with eggs made your favorite way!
